Mahmoud Elkarmalawy,

Mahmoud Elkarmalawy is an undergraduate student majoring in Electrical Engineering. He spent his first 18 years growing up in four different countries and nine different cities, all shaping him with their own cultures, ideas, and uniqueness.
​
He currently works as the ArtSci Lab coordinator, helping the lab run and continue its work smoothly. This entails mass email communication, meetings, and documentation, but also building relationships with others that go toward strengthening the collaborative spirit of both the lab and the individuals within and without its virtual walls.
​
In 2021, he started UTDallas Combat Robotics with his friends and classmates to design, build, and market robust and exciting robots that are the products of creative design, applied engineering, and thorough planning.
Daniel Martinez Murillo,

ATEC: Games, UTD '23
Daniel Martinez Murillo is an undergraduate student majoring in Games in the school of ATEC. Moving from Mexico to Texas at a young age, he spent much of his life between cultures, learning the ins and outs of the social and art worlds.

He works as a Video Editor for ArtSciLab's Arts-Based Learning for Business team, stitching and developing videos that use improv and the artistic brain to help teach students valuable business skills. This entails quick thinking, communication, team meetings, time management, Premiere Pro skills, and a designer's eye.
​
As an aspiring storyteller, writer, artist, and game designer, he likes to spend his time learning new skills, playing and making games, producing art, and imagining interesting worlds in order to tell stories. In 2020, he co-founded a huge online DnD-inspired tabletop system to give people a place to play during the pandemic.
